Conestoga Valley High School offers an internship program that allows students to go off campus and work. This allows students to gain experience in the working field and students to gain credit for working. Mr. William Danz and Mr. Bart Ciurski run the program and can be found in the library.
The internship program allows students who can provide transportation to get work experience during school hours. It helps students learn more about a specific field and help decide if they want to further their education in that field.
This opportunity is mainly held for 11th and 12th grade students. Students may pick where their internship happens and with help of your counselors, Mr. Danz, and Mr. Ciurski you can find the one that best fits.
“We partner with a bunch of different businesses and organizations to give students opportunities,” said Mr. Ciurski.
Internships may be held during study halls, open campuses, or electives. It’s important to talk to your counselor as soon as you decide you want to do the program.
Senior James Weikert said, “I am so glad I took this opportunity, and every moment of it has been worth it.”
This is your sign to start planning if you want to take an internship. Find a career you want to get into and see if they offer any internships. You may want to reach out to your counselor to discuss your options.
