Ananda Kennedy is a young woman who has a passion for beauty and real estate. She dreams of a bright future and being highly creative and successful. She loves everything beautiful, but that is not just about the looks; it is about changing spaces and lives.
“I plan to be a cosmetologist,” she said. “So I want to go to school for cosmetology, and I do plan to take a gap year, but after that, I want to be a cosmetologist.”
Ananda is currently considering a decision between Empire Beauty School and Lancaster Cosmetology School. While both institutions have great programs, each has a different type of appeal.
“I don’t know which one I want to go to yet, but I’m kind of leaning towards Lancaster Cosmetology, just because it’s a lot cheaper, and they basically are the same thing, but also Empire Beauty is more popular. There’s definitely a reason for that..” Her thoughtful analysis reflects her careful consideration of both options.
It expresses her forward-looking duality of ambitions, not content to just leave it with minimal influence in one sphere, but to be consequential in both.
Ananda’s ultimate dream is to open her own hair salon, a place that caters to all hair types and celebrates diversity. Her vision is not just about providing services but creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed and appreciated. “In the future, that’s my goal, which is my own hair salon for all hair types, including mine.” This goal is a testament to her inclusive mindset and her commitment to excellence.
Texas, with its sunny weather and vibrant communities, is where Ananda sees herself building her future. The dynamic atmosphere of the state and its growing population make it the perfect place for her entrepreneurial endeavors. “So this is a populated city, and I’ve always wanted to live there. I don’t know anyone who lives there. That’s the point.” Her excitement about Texas is palpable, and it’s connected with her dreams of creating a successful and fulfilling life.
