He brings the BOOM! Jackson Byers’ childhood was filled with sports, family time, and strong relationships that helped shape him into the person he is today.

Growing up in a supportive household, Byers credits a lot of his good character to his parents. When he was younger, he thought they were somewhat strict, but he reflects on how their guidance benefited him in the long run. “I think it taught me responsibility early on, and I appreciate that now since I’m older,” Byers states. His parents provided a structured environment where he could grow, learn, and thrive. They set clear expectations and held him accountable, which helped him develop a strong sense of discipline and work ethic. Byers commented that his most important childhood memory was becoming a Christian with the help of his sister. He says, “I remember repenting in my room with my sister. It was a pretty important moment in my life, so I remember it well.” This memory was an important moment that helped guide the rest of his life.  Byers seems to have grown up with amazing, supportive people surrounding him. He described the people he was close with by saying, “They were like friends, but also kind of like extended family too.” Byers relationships were an important part of his life at a young age.

Byers was a very active child growing up. He commented on how he spent his freetime by saying, “I loved jumping on my trampoline or riding my bike around the neighborhood.” This love for activity most likely influenced his desire to participate in sports later in life. Later he added on, “I’ve stuck with sports like football, basketball, and lacrosse. I still play whenever I get the chance. They were a big part of my childhood, and I guess I just kept the passion for them going.” His active early childhood must have had an impact on his athleticism in sports, because he still plays football and lacrosse even today.

Byers childhood consisted of a good mix of healthy relationships and athletic activity. With the help and coaching of his parents, he was able to explode through childhood into the next stage of his life.
