Field of Screams is now open for the 2025 fall season. This year the season runs from September 12th – November 15th.
Although Field of Screams has been around for many years, they have made upgrades and changes to many of their attractions. Their promotional booklet states: “Field of Screams’ haunted trail, Nocturnal Wasteland, has lots of fresh new details for the 2025 season. The FOS Fright Engineers have been working hard in the off-season to bring you updated and gory features.”
The Haunted Hayride, the best haunted hayride in the country according to Field of Screams, has also made some changes. According to the booklet, “the Haunted Hayride now includes an all-new abandoned gas station scene!” The scene has a very potent gasoline smell that makes it seem extremely realistic.
CV senior Lia Tapia said of the hayride: “Everything was so realistic! I was definitely scared but had so much fun.” The ride is also longer than it was for many years, which will make many buyers happy.
The Den of Darkness, which is many people’s favorite attraction, also has some thrilling new things. In the booklet it gives you hints on what to expect for the attractions: “Posters of missing persons and family photo cover the walls. This study is eerie beyond compare and will leave you petrified with fear!”
CV senior Sadie Avery said, “The Den of Darkness is by far one of the most thrilling attractions. It has a lot of suspense, and had me the most scared.”
This should be a busy season this year with all the new upgrades. On the Field of Screams website, it shows what days are the most busy and what you should purchase to get the best experience. They also have events during the off season for people to come and get the thrill.
