Conestoga Valley High School’s 2023 spirit week has come to an end. This week has been filled with holiday cheer and school spirit. Even though the last week before break can be busy, we pulled through and made it a great week before the holidays.
On Monday, the school participated in “Night Before Christmas” or “Cozy Clothes” day. This was one of the days with the most participation this week, considering most people wanted to wear their pajamas or some version of comfy clothes.
Tuesday was “Red and Blue CV Spirit” as well as the annual Shop with a Buckskin event. Fewer people participated in this spirit day compared to “Night Before Christmas,” likely because this spirit day was a last-minute change.
The school looked like a blizzard on Wednesday for “Winter Wonderland.” Wednesday we hoped our snowy outfits would help bring us a white Christmas or a snowy new year. Alas, there was nothing but rain. Lots of people participated on this day because white is a common color and not that hard to make an outfit out of.
Everyone donned their ugliest sweaters on Thursday to bring the week some Christmas cheer. Between carrying gifts around and the joy of wearing favorite sweaters, Thursday may just have to take the cake for the most festive spirit day.
On Friday, everyone was decked out like their favorite Christmas movie character. People started planning this the week before. People were seen dressed as elves, The Grinch, Santa, and kids from the Polar Express.
The Valley Voice hopes you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy your holiday break!
