On Friday, March 8th, Conestoga Valley held their second annual “Family Feud” event in the high school auditorium. Student council hosted two separate assemblies: freshman vs sophomores and then juniors vs seniors. Over two rounds, the classes battled to earn points by naming common CV responses in different categories.

The first sophomore and freshman teams get ready to start round one, hosted by sophomore Colson Erv.
The second sophomore and freshman teams get ready to answer the question “What is the best fast food?”
The first senior and junior teams prepare to begin round one, hosted by Amari Martinez (12).
The second senior team works on getting the answers for the question, “When you hear a noise coming from your basement, what do you pray it isn’t?”
The second junior team attempts to steal the points for the question, “When you hear a noise coming from your basement, what do you pray it isn’t?”

In the freshman vs sophomore game, the sophomores won by a significant amount. The final score was freshman 199 and sophomores 520.

In the junior vs senior game the seniors won by a significant amount as well. The final score was juniors 74 and seniors 321.

In the beginning and middle of the assemblies, student council hosted mini games. The first mini game was called “Ultimate Shot.” Members of the audience tried to throw balls into trash cans held by student council members. The second was called “Meklit on the Street.” In this segment, Meklit Bogale (11) took a microphone into the audience and asked members quick questions. Both assemblies wrapped up with a competitive game of limbo.

Sophomores and freshman play a round of limbo.
Thabo Lautsbaugh (12) limbos while seniors Luke Needham and Luke Morley hold the spirit stick.

Although this is only the second time running the event, it is quickly becoming a CV tradition. Student council advisor Jesse Shenk said, “It’s good to see everyone having a good time laughing together, and seeing the answers CV students came up was really the best part. I am also glad to see the sophomore class finally getting long-awaited dub.”
