Eric Lando is a brown haired, green eyed, 20 year-old musician who graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in 2021.
Music has always been a big part of Eric’s life. No matter what activity he may have found himself doing, music would be involved.
“I don’t think you can have life without music, just because music is such a big part of my life,” Eric stated. “I listen to it when I’m playing games, I listen to it when I’m working, outside raking leaves. It’s just calming.”
He’s explored many music genres throughout the years, but rock and metal are the ones that impacted him the most. These genres and the bands he listens to inspired him to pick up instruments and start creating music himself.
He started his love for creating music on drums, but eventually went on to learn other instruments as well such as guitar, keyboard, and bass. Although he enjoys these instruments, he always found himself going back to his drums.
“I wanted to learn the drums because I was inspired by James Sullivan from Avenged Sevenfold,” Eric claimed. “After one of my birthdays, I saved up enough money and bought some drums.”
Eventually, he went on to learn the bass after receiving it as a gift from a friend.
“I discovered I liked playing the bass a lot later than the drums,” Eric stated. “I got a bass for free from my buddy from CTC in senior year of high school.”
He’s used these instruments to practice and create songs. He started a band in hopes of sharing his passion for music with the people around him, and hoping to potentially turn it into something bigger.
“I would like to make music a career if that’s possible, because I love music,” Eric responded. “I think developing as an artist is important. You work on yourself as a person doing it, so that’s what I hope to do.”
While there will be trial and error ahead, Eric’s passion for music will prevail.
