The 2024 Homecoming football game played against Lebanon Cedars on September 27th at Conestoga Valley High School was full of excitement and school spirit from the student section, football team, and supporters in the stands who wore red and blue while cheering to show off school spirit. It was a great way to start the weekend of Homecoming off with great school spirit.
Many of the players on Conestoga Valley’s football team were excited before the game, knowing that they had this game in the bag because of how prepared they were. Gabriel Justiniano (11) commented, “I felt ready and excited,” while junior Konner Fisher stated, “I felt pretty confident that we were going to win.”
The energy during the game felt high and exciting. As the team was running plays, the student section, family, and friends were cheering them on from the sidelines. Cordell Bair (11) commented, “The energy was very exciting. It was a very energetic game.” Konner Fisher added, “The energy was there and everyone was hype.”
Many things went well during the game. Junior Josiah Garcia commented, “Our main player is out, so we executed well and we all just played our role.” Konner Fisher said, “I think we passed the ball well and our defense did what they were supposed to do.” Other players talked about how they ran and followed their playbook.
One of the exciting things about the Homecoming game was the amount of supporters there, including family, friends, and peers. Cordell Bair commented, “The most exciting thing about the game was the amount of people that were there, and the environment.”
A few players had similar positive takeaways from the end of the night. Konner Fisher commented, “I felt great, and it was good because we got the win then got to go Homecoming [dance] the next day.” Gabe Justiniano stated, “I had a lot of emotions after the game with all my teammates. We were all excited [and] celebrating and we all had a good night.”
