Valley Voice is a club here at CV, but some students would like it to be a class all year round and not just a club. Ms. Lapp, an English teacher at CVHS, suggested that it could turn into an elective for the upcoming 25-26 school year. Having Valley Voice become a class gives students a better chance at exploring more about Valley Voice and getting better writing skills as a whole.

Many students already participate in the club at CV, so having a class can get the word out more and give students a chance to express themselves through writing. Like Tirzah Johnson, who loves Valley Voice. She said, “I like all of the fun events we get to do.” Valley Voice can have a huge impact on students, especially when they get to report on exciting things happening at CV.

Ms. Lapp thinks it’s a good class that would help benefit the school students by learning more. Ms. Lapp said, “This class is important because it would allow students to actively participate in our school community while building their skills of observation, curiosity, and writing.” Adding a Valley Voice elective could help benefit many students, helping them grow their confidence.

Valley Voice club really brings out a lot of people’s personality and helps people grow. Olivia Hernandez (11) said in her staff bio: “Olivia strives often to be a positive addition to Valley Voice, and she hopes to grow from what she continues to learn in this environment.”  Valley Voice as a club makes a really good impact on people as a group, but imagine this as a class.
