Daniel Smith is one of the newest teachers at CV High School for the 25-26 school year. He says what drew him into coming here was the school’s spectacular environment.
Now that he’s here, he’s excited to make his class a place where students feel comfortable learning and conversing. He got hired August 4th, 2025 which let him start off in the beginning of a new year
When asked about how Mr. Smith handles challenges, his para-professional, Maya Ciesnolevicz, said, “He handles it well with patience, calmness and understanding and knows what to do if something happens spur of the moment.”
What stood out most when talking to students and other teachers about him is his energy and good attitude towards school everyday. He has built a good relationship with his students. Before working here, he worked as a E.S. and social studies teacher at Chester County Intermediate Unit.
Smith wants to focus his first year helping his students. He says, “I’m focused on giving my students the best environment possible while building trust with them.”
Mrs. Ciesnolevicz feels like he fits well with the class saying, “He has adjusted well to our school and brings a great energy to the class! He gets the kids thinking and interacting.”
His coworker, Erica Whitley, was one of the teachers that gave feedback to High School Principal Matthew Fox in an email following his interview. She exclaimed, “The best thing I liked about him is his attitude. He’s so upbeat. We need that.”
