Good Shepherd Church is Bible quizzing in Ohio this quiz season, with the invitational tournaments starting March 21, and 22.
AMEC Bible quizzing is a series of events lasting about 10 weeks where teens from the age of 14 -21 read sections of the Bible and answer questions based on the passages they read.
AMEC Bible quizzing only holds the invitational tournaments every other year, so it’s an exciting time for the quizzers.
The Good Shepherd team has high hopes about their chances in making it as one of the top teams, due to some strong contenders on their team
Mark Smoker, the brother of one of the quizzers said, “I think Olivia [Monyer] knows the passage and can understand what is going on easily, which helps her gain confidence when she has to press the buzzer.”
Tyler Rittenour the coach of the quiz team said that the team members “ all have endless potential.” Rittenour also said AMEC is holding the tournament in the north east Ohio region.
Smoker added “We have been showing great skill in matches; the only thing we need is for everyone to give their all every week.” Smoker said he thinks that Good Shepherd could get a seventy point average and maybe top ten this year.
Smoker and Rittenour both said that the people last time in Ohio were very nice and accommodating. They said they would like to see similar people this year.
