Most of us know the artist Khalid from his collab with the amazing Normani “Love Lies,” but that’s not his only good song. We listened to every collab Khalid has ever done. Here is our top 10.

10. “Days Like This” by GoldLink (ft. Khalid)

This song deserved a spot in the rankings, however, it was not our favorite. This song is an upbeat rap song, but the addition of Khalid’s twist complements GoldLink’s lyrics and completes the song well. We ranked it at spot #10 because although it was a good song, it had some flaws, including some words that you can’t really make out what GoldLink is saying, and it’s very repetitive.

9. “Numb” by Marshmello (ft. Khalid)

This song by Marshmello and Khalid is very happy and gives off summer vibes. This collaboration is great when you need a summer pick-me-up. Aaron says, “Marshmello has a very refreshing voice.” We put this at #9 because it wasn’t our favorite song out of the choices, since it was very repetitive.

8. “Be Like That” by Kane Brown, Swae Lee, and Khalid

This song has very back roads vibes. It has a country twang to it, giving it a bit of folk, but it’s also an energetic song. The song has a lot of layers, with Kane Brown’s country, Swae Lee’s rap, and Khalid’s indie voices all coming together really well. The only reason it is ranked #8 is because we’re not very into country music, but otherwise it is a great song.

7. “Eastside” by Benny Blanco, Khalid, and Halsey

This big collaboration with Benny Blanco and Halsey is a great upbeat and positive pop song. It is not repetitive, and it has a great mix of the artists’ voices that bring the entire song together well.

6. “Silence” by Marshmello and Khalid

“Silence” is low tempo, and is a bit more on the sad side, but it does not put you in a bad mood. The song flows well and it is a very connected song. We ranked this at #6 because both artists have really good voices and they work together well. The overall piece creates a mellow (get it? mellow/Mello?) vibe that ties it together.

5. “Let’s Go (Remix)” by Khalid and GoldLink

This rap song is crazy, but all the lyrics match the song perfectly. It is a more chill side of rap that’s not expressed much anymore. The song starts with an upbeat tone, intriguing the audience. We ranked this at #5 because the song deserves some more recognition, and is very worthy of being put in the top 5.

4. “Electric” by Alina Baraz and Khalid

“Electric” is a relaxing song, but the mix of tempos draws people into the song, because you don’t know what’s coming next. Adding Khalid into the song makes a perfect duo. His words resonate more with the audience, and his vibe is more upbeat, the opposite of Alina Baraz’s. It is perfect for the top 5.

3. “Love Lies” By Khalid and Normani

This 2018 hit is a perfect mix of the two artists’ voices, as they compliment each other so well. The pop song flows really nicely. It is at #3 because it is a classic hit; however, not our favorite of the options. It is still a worthy song to go into the top 3.

2. “1-800-273-8255” by Logic, Alessia Cara, and Khalid

Did you know the number that is the title for this song is the suicide hotline? The song is for suicide awareness. The song flows flawlessly, telling the story of someone who wants to commit, to wanting to stay alive with the help of friends. The story is told through lyrics going from, “I don’t wanna be alive” and the flash forward to the end when he says, “I finally wanna be alive.” This perfect storytelling puts it higher on the rankings.

1. “Location” by Khalid, Lil Wayne, and Kehlani

The beginning with rap, flowing into indie with Khalid, and adding the R&B voice of Kehlani all make  the song flow very well. The layers of the artists coming together perfects the song in ways Khalid couldn’t imagine, making it well deserving of the number 1 spot.
