Good Season for the Blues

Averaging two goals per game, the Blues are off to a great start in the 21/22 Premier League season. Coming off their championship win last May, the Blues are keeping up the momentum ranking at number one in the whole league. Head coach Thomas Tuchel has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for October. Tuchel also says he is hoping to stay with Chelsea as their long term head coach after becoming official on January 26th, 2021.

Christian Pulisic, a midfielder from Hershey, PA for Chelsea, has been given the approval of Head Coach Thomas Tuchel to transfer to Barcelona. Pulisic has been out following an ankle injury since September. Since then Pulisic has never played the full 90 minutes of any game. Barcelona has been looking into Pulisic and have shown some interest in him, but they don’t know if he’s worth the time it takes for Pulisic to be at his best. Similar to Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech shows interest in leaving the club to get more game time. He only had 49 appearances for Chelsea. In order to grow his career he would need to start over in his new club, which appears to be Borussia Dortmund. The German team would boost his popularity as well as give him more playing time.

On November 16th, the first episode of the Porto Uncovered video series will come out on Chelsea’s official website. This episode of the docu-series consists of unseen behind the scenes of Thomas Tuchel’s claim to fame. The first episode interviews Kai Havertz on winning the Champions League back in May. It was mentioned multiple times that no one could have expected Chelsea to get to the top last season. Now Chelsea can only hope to keep seeing win after win and stay on top of the standings.
