Around October, in almost every high school across the country, 8-10 girls are picked to be on their school’s homecoming court. Homecoming is a long-standing high school tradition in which students watch their homecoming football game and attend the homecoming dance on the same weekend. It is an opportunity for students to showcase their school pride and have some fun.

At Conestoga Valley High School, students participate in a “spirit week” throughout the week where they dress up and gather points for their respective classes. The week culminates on Friday with a pep rally, voting for queen, and homecoming football game.

The homecoming court this year, all senior girls at Conestoga Valley, consists of: Faith De La Fuente, Erin Figart, Coralie Hardin, Isabella Johnson, Kylie Justiano, Meagan Kime, Mae Linder, and Olivia Slaymaker.

Students at CVHS will watch videos of these girls and their escorts explaining why they should be chosen to be queen. At the homecoming game the winner will be announced and be crowned “queen” in front of the entire school. Students will have to wait to see who the queen is on October 13. 2023, when CV plays Manheim Central in the football stadium at 7:00pm.
