Conestoga Valley’s 2023 Homecoming dance is just around the corner on October 14, and the students of CV are buzzing with excitement. Even though not everybody is going, there is still talk all over the school.

Whether you’ve been to the Conestoga Valley Homecoming 3 years in a row or just once, there is plenty to look forward to. The outfits, music, and of course the snacks will be fantastic.

The outfits are sure to be a staple. Senior Irelys Diaz Turvid explained “I plan on wearing a low-cut bell sleeve dress that is all black with black or white sandals or heels…And they’re gonna be accented with gold jewelry.”

Music is a key part of the Homecoming dance. Whether it’s rock n’ roll or slow dancing, everyone has a preference for what they want to hear. Javante Cartagena, a sophomore here at CV, shared his expectations for the music at Homecoming: “I hope to hear any music, I love all types. But for Homecoming, I would like to hear rap or hip hop.”

“I’ve been to two Hocos, freshman and sophomore year,” says Alison Miller (11), expecting a whole different theme and experience from previous years. She will not be disappointed, as this year’s theme is the movies, unlike last year’s hippie decor.

Everyone is counting down the days until they can dress up, eat great food, and dance to some music with their friends. Homecoming 2023 is sure to be the best one yet, thanks to the staff and students working hard to make everything perfect.
