Conestoga Valley High School has a tradition of a Senior Song for Spring Concerts.  This year, Mrs. Elizabeth Carney picked a Fan favorite, “From Now On”, from “The Greatest Showman”.

In previous school years, “Slipping through my fingers” was one of the graduation pieces.

This year’s concert is going to be held on May 7th, and will begin at 7 pm, and is open to any families or people who would like to attend.  It will be held in the CV auditorium.

There are many different opinions circulating around the piece.  Senior Isaiah Baughman said, “Throughout all my time here, I really do enjoy the theatre pieces, and I’m glad we’re doing From Now On”.

Isaiah is going to be attending Millersville University and is going for Music Ed.  He is planning on teaching a high school music class.

Another senior, Elise Mauer, gave input as well. She said, “My opinion is From Now On is that I love it.  I specifically love it because each different voice part gets to lead the melody at some point in the song”.

Elise was previously in choir in 6th grade, then maintained her involvement throughout high school.  She also has a strong love for choir.

Another student named Yaksh Pandya is another senior in the choir.  He said, “I am really excited for this piece on the stage, and the seniors’ amazing singing in it”.

Yaksh only previously became enrolled in choir in January of 2026; he said he wishes he would have joined sooner.

Many students in choir, including the seniors, have similar opinions regarding this piece.  Each voice part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass) gets to shine in its own way throughout this piece,  which is why it’s such a fan favorite.
