Best 5 Movies To Watch Before You Graduate

Choosing what movie to watch is never easy, especially with so many meaningful options. We are looking to see some great drama that may interest teens. Many high school students love suspense and enjoy movies. After narrowing down our choices, we have selected 5 films that impacted us most throughout our high school experience.

This film tells a story about 5 teenagers who were all in different high schools with different cliques. They are overseen in a Saturday detention by their vice principal. John Hughes was the one who wrote the scripts in 1982. Afterwards he released another one called “Sixteen Candles.”

“Lady Bird” is a humorous and deeply relatable love letter to adolescence. It reveals the complexities of mother and daughter dynamics, and the often hidden beauty of hometowns. The heart of the film lies in the authentic relationship between Lady Bird and her mother, Marion (Laurie Metcalf), which is depicted with heartbreaking hard love. Their dynamic is filled with passionate arguments and unspoken, deep seated love.

This film taps into the intense, universal desire for freedom that comes with turning 16, capturing the anxiety of the driving test and the desperation to impress a dream girl, played by a young Heather Graham. The movie escalates into a wild, night-long ride involving a pristine Cadillac, wild parties, and intense car chases that offer high-energy entertainment.

“Mean Girls” is an excellent portrayal of teenagers. It discusses betrayal, friendship, loyalty, and boyfriends. It’s an excellent movie for young people to enjoy. Candy Herron (Lindsay Lohan) moves to a new school where she meets other girls. They all turn against each other in the end, but the resolution is priceless.

The classic movie “Grease” was filmed in 1977, and released in 1978.  It gained quick due to the themes of love it portrayed. It shows a love story between Sandy and Danny, targeting younger audiences. This is an amazing movie to watch because it portrays teenagers and rebellion, which many teenagers in the 20th century can relate to.
