Disney Releases New Streaming Service

Disney fans young and old are thrilled for the release of the newest video streaming service, Disney+. The service will contain all of the Disney favorites, ranging from 1937’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”to 2019’s live-action “Aladdin.”Many Disney Channel Original Movies, DCOMs for short, like “Descendants,”will be showcased on the new service.

Disney will also be adding to an early 2000 favorite, “High School Musical.” Disney’s newest TV show, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”is set to release on November 12, 2019, the same day as Disney+. Plenty of other Disney Channel shows will be available as well.

The service will also have Millennial favorites like “Hannah Montana,” “Lizzie McGuire,” and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” “That’s So Raven” and its more recent spin-off, “Raven’s Home” will also be a part of the new network.

Disney+ will, of course, have all of the Disney owned movies as well. All National Geographic, Marvel, and Pixar movies will be on Disney+, including old and new Marvel cartoons. Disney+will also have almost every single “Star Wars”movie, making those home-run marathons much easier. The service will have the original trilogy and the next four movies. At its release, Disney+ will not yet have “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

Disney+ will have so much available content, people just won’t know what to do with themselves! Disney even put together a three-hour long video previewing everything scheduled to be included on the service.

Disney+was created, in part, to rival Netflix and Hulu. Disney progressively removed its shows and movies from other services. This was naturally to force a Disney lover’s hand into buying Disney+. Though that may sound sneaky and sinister, Disney has truly made Disney+ very desirable. For one, people can subscribe to Disney+ through their Hulu subscription, just like people have done with services like HBO.

Disney+ will cost the same whether it is bought on its own or through Hulu, but if purchased as an add-on for Hulu everything will be accessible on Hulu itself. Another purchasing option is Disney’s bundle for $13 a month that will include Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. This bundle would cost $5 less than separately purchasing all three.

Now, of course, people are anticipating that Disney+’s “$7 a month” will most definitely increase eventually. It’s hard to say for sure, but in the realm of business, it’s rather likely. Fans hope, however, that it will all be worth it. They’ll be able to find out sometime after November 12th!

It is safe to say that Disney+ is highly anticipated by fans of Disney and all of its properties. Disney is taking over, and fans cannot wait to see what the future will bring.
