In celebration of Homecoming, Conestoga Valley High School’s annual Pep Rally was in full swing this year, taking place outside! Members of the student council were very excited to get back to a “sense of normalcy” this year, Cassie Malles, a member of student council, noted. Students were also anxious to get to experience a pep rally after missing an in-person one the year before due to the pandemic, and it did not disappoint.

During the pep rally, there were a variety of competitions, games, and overall fun class rivalry to show school spirit. This year’s homecoming theme was fairytale. Ana Eckert, another member of student council, came up with the idea while the student council was brainstorming. Malles explained that they narrowed the ideas down from a list and decided on the fairytale theme because it presented the most potential.

During the pep rally, members of the student council and advisor Mr. Jesse Shenk dressed up as characters from famous fairy tales, like the fairy godmother, which the student body found very entertaining! Overall, this year’s pep rally was a huge success thanks to the student council, Mr. Shenk, and everyone else who helped.
